Missions of the Division of Biomedical Engineering: The missions of the Division of Biomedical Engineering and Computing are as follows:

1. Initiate and perform research in biomedical engineering with particular applications to the fields of internal medicine.

2. Support research in other divisions of the Department of Medicine and the School of Medicine through the provision of technological expertise in biomedical engineering and computing.

3. Act as a coordinating unit for the collaboration of biomedical engineering faculty with the School of Medicine.
