Speaker Khaled Abdel-Kader, M.D.
Event Details Dr. Abdel-Kader is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Abdel-Kader's research interests include geriatric nephrology, quality of life in chronic kidney disease (CKD), quality of care in non-dialysis dependent CKD, health information technology including electronic health records (EHR) and clinical decision support systems (CDSS). He's received federal and foundational grants to fund this research including a K23 career development award, a Norman Coplon Satellite Grant award, and an R01 award. His publications have included manuscripts in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, Critical Care Medicine, American Journal of Kidney Diseases, Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, and the Journal of Hypertension among others. He is an associate editor for BMC Nephrology and is a member of the editorial board of CJASN.
