Brief Description: Gabe was raised in Garland, Texas outside of Dallas (but he is not a Cowboy’s fan). He started playing competitive tennis at the age of 10 and played until he went to college at The University of Texas at Austin. While at the REAL UT he majored in marketing, minored in public health, and taught tennis on the side so that he could afford eating things other than top ramen every now and then. While at UT he met his wife of two years, Kenzie. After he graduated from UT he attended the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston. He found his calling in internal medicine during a preceptorship during the summer between first and second year of med school. He has always been passionate about community service and addressing healthcare disparities, especially those faced by minorities. He was the community service officer for SNMA and the Association of Internal Medicine Students (AIMS). In his spare time he enjoys playing tennis, basketball, hiking and camping with his wife, sitting on his couch binge-watching shows on Netflix, and going to concerts. He is an audiophile and you will catch him listening to music at all times. He and his wife have never lived outside of Texas and they are excited to move to Nashville and experience everything the city has to offer. His house has a strict hierarchy with his wife at the top, his cat, Dublin, in the middle, and him at the bottom. Member of AOA.
