Brief Description: Jeff grew up in metro Atlanta before going off to UVA (Wahoowa!) for undergrad. After college, he moved back to Atlanta for a few years to work in a microbiology lab before starting medical school. He joined the MD/PhD program at the University of Maryland, where he studied antibiotic tolerance in bacterial infections. Jeff is excited to join Vanderbilt as part of the Harrison Society, and he plans on pursuing a fellowship in infectious diseases. In his free time he enjoys running, hiking, camping, and basically anything else that gets him outdoors. He is an avid Atlanta Falcons fan and is still holding out hope for that Super Bowl win. Jeff can't wait to be part of the Vanderbilt community, and he is looking forward to exploring Nashville with his wife, daughter, and two dachshunds. Member of AOA.
